God is Merciful!

Fortunately for us, God doesn't want to punish us because He is merciful and full of love.

The Bible says:

"God is love . . ."  John 4:8b

But, the same Bible that says that God is love also says that God is JUST.  This means that He is obligated to punish sin.

The Bible says:

"Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished;"  Exodus 34:7

I know by now you're wondering . . . where's the good news in all of this?  How can Heaven be a free gift?  How can I go to Heaven?

If man is a sinner . . .
And he cannot save himself . . .
And even though God loves us . . .
He must punish sin . . .
